Came up with the Lochs and Glens folk and it was lovely. Staff are friendly and super accommodating. Food is wonderful (set menus but plenty of choice and staff will alter things upon request), even though it did look a bit clinical on the plates due to being mass catered for us, it definitely delivered in taste. In the evenings the fireplaces in the main entryway are lit and it's wonderful.
The overall vibe of the building is super cozy, would love to come up for Christmas one year.
The views from the hotel are stunning, especially in the morning with all the mist and fog along the loch ☺️
Had a lovely stay here. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, it's a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed the food, the evening entertainment and the daily quizzes. An all round lovely experience.
Staff, food and accommodation are excellent. Set in a wonderful, scenic part of Scotland, perfect for a holiday any time of the year.
Breakfast is fixed menu choices delivered to your table by waiters, as is dinner. 148 steps from town by the shortest route, otherwise a stiff climb up a set of steep roads from the town's centre. Rooms are basic and comfortable but no fridges or mini bars in them. Staff very friendly and helpful, repairing a reported fault in undervr 15 minutes.
Just a wonderful hotel. Owned. By Lochs and Glen's I have visited both as a coach tour passenger and Self drive customer.
Wonderful atmospheric public rooms cosy well furnished and maintained bedrooms. Reasonsbly priced drinks menu. Food excellent their sales offering is on a Dinner bed and Breakfast basis .Their rates are exceptional . Open coal fires in winter time and evening entertainment included .Great spot for adventuring into the Highlands either by car - City Link Buses - or trains from the Station in Fort William... Jacobite express Train goes from here twice daily Spring and Summer daily during the Winter. Only issue is that room heating could be improved as timed heating isn't adequate for chilly evenings.
A truly wonderful hotel...
The hotel caters mainly for the older generation. The staff are marvellous, friendly, helpful and courteous. The food is excellent with a different daily evening meal menu. The e ending entertainment is also excellent.
lovely place clean lovely staff and the food was brilliant only one thing wrong the weather but that's not the hotel's fault that's Scotland's fault haha
Felt like we were staying in an episode of Scooby-Doo. We arrived late, and when we checked in, we could hear....singing....as we walked twords our room, we entered a large space filled with slightly grumpy looking elderly folks all sitting in silence. They were all staring blankly at a silver haird woman standing at a keyboard with flashing lights and a headset mic doing covers of various country singers.
Once we made it to our room, it was moderately sized with two quite "firm" mattresses. The view was quite lovely even from the ground floor. The included full Scottish breakfast was not bad in any way but not remarkable either.
Overall, it worked out for the one night we stayed. And it gave us a good story.
